DoD’s Chief Digital & AI Office bought Anduril’s Lattice Mesh to let frontline units share data without having to relay it through a central HQ. Now CDAO and Anduril are letting third parties build apps to run on Lattice Mesh, without having to go through Anduril.
Anduril's Lattice software "will replace legacy communications systems with a resilient mesh network" to link sensors, rapidly share data with users, and ease integration of new software systems and users, the company said.
"Anduril will use Apex’s buses for missions where Apex’s off-the-shelf approach and scalable manufacturing enable Anduril to rapidly deliver capability to customers; such as space situational awareness, proliferated LEO architectures, and missile warning and tracking," Anduril said in a press release today.
“This project is my top priority at Anduril, and it has been for some time now.
